I am Grietje Schreuder: interior designer, stylist and qualified photographer, and I lived in Lucca for seven years. I help international owners turn a property in Tuscany into a home with character — designed, furnished, styled and photographed.

A complete design for a home, holiday rental or commercial space — built from the architecture of the space and the way it will be used.
3D design total package
Step by step to the final design: site visit, moodboard, interim evaluation and a final presentation with shopping list, design sketch, colours and materials and a lighting plan.
Kick start consultation
Two hours of on-site advice with colours and materials at hand. Afterwards you receive a written overview of everything we discussed.
Styling
From the final layer in a home to styling for a photoshoot, set or commercial. Personal, never generic.

Questions international owners ask
- Can you work with clients who live outside Italy?
- Yes. Most of my clients are abroad for much of the project. We work by video call, shared moodboards and photo updates from site, and I am present in Tuscany for the moments that need someone there: measuring, meetings with the trades, deliveries and the furnishing days.
- Can you help me before I buy a property?
- Yes. Before you commit, I can look at a house with you and tell you what it could become: how the light falls, what the layout allows, which interventions are realistic and what furnishing it well would ask of you.
- Which areas of Tuscany do you cover?
- Lucca, Pisa and the surrounding area, where I lived for the past seven years. I now travel between Tuscany and the Dutch–Belgian border region, so projects are planned in blocks of days on site.
- Can you work with the existing architecture?
- That is the starting point. Beams, stone, terracotta floors and old openings are what give a Tuscan house its character. I keep them in the lead and let the modern part — comfort, lighting, kitchen, bathrooms — support them instead of competing.
- Can you help with furnishing and sourcing?
- Yes: sourcing, custom pieces, a shopping list with prices, a delivery schedule for the different lead times, and installation on site. What I do not do is building work myself — I design, direct and coordinate the trades.
- What does a project cost?
- Photography of a property is €1,200. Design, furnishing and styling are quoted after the first conversation, because the scope differs per house. The first conversation is free, on site or by video call.
