Apartment in Lucca furnished entirely remotely
For an American owner I gave an apartment in Lucca a completely new design. She was in America — the entire project could be done remotely.

For an American client, Grietje designed the complete interior of an apartment in Lucca for holiday rental — entirely remotely: from the wishes conversation and moodboard through the shopping list to ordering, logistics and installation according to her plan.
The brief
The client wanted an apartment ready for holiday rentals, without being able to be there herself. Everything — from defining the wishes to installation — had to be arranged from a distance.
The approach
We started with a client conversation about wishes and rental. The client sent inspiration in advance of what she loves; on that basis I made a moodboard, with a feedback moment to adjust it. Then came an interior sketch so she could see the exact layout, and a shopping list — the client can buy everything herself or I order it all. Everything was shipped to a logistics company that installed the furniture according to my plan.

The full story
Starting with the client's wishes
The client was in America, so the whole project could be done remotely. It always starts with a conversation: what are your wishes, and is it for holiday rental or not? The client sent inspiration beforehand of what she liked — that became the basis of the design.
Moodboard, feedback and interior sketch
From that inspiration I made a moodboard in the desired style. A feedback session followed, in which the moodboard could be adjusted. If the client wanted to see it precisely — and had the budget for it — I also made an interior sketch, so the layout of the apartment was exactly clear.
From shopping list to installation
Then I made a shopping list. The client could buy everything herself, or I ordered it. Everything was then sent to a logistics company, which installed all the furniture according to the plan I had made. This apartment too was furnished for holiday rental.
